It's well known that people start looking better the more one drinks alcohol, and British scientists believe it might have to do with biological symmetry. Humans have a strong evolutionary preference for symmetry in their mates' features, and the scientists discovered that alcohol decreases one's ability to detect it -- or as it were, a lack of it.
